Join Joan for a Port Antonio hillside yoga session on Saturday mornings at Hotel Mockingbird Hill to restore balance, nurture healing and inner peace.
Weather permitting there is a choice of 2 yoga decks that offer a peaceful haven to hold a deep pose as you gaze into the 7.5-acre bio-diverse gardens that host an open-air sculpture park and are regarded as one of the best spots for birding in Jamaica.
If the weather is having an off day, the class moves up to the bar terrace, an enormous light space which offers spectacular views out over the Caribbean Sea. Air-conditioning is provided only by natural sea breezes so it’s the perfect environment for loosening muscles.
Joan’s yoga classes emphasizes alignment and asana (breath) which heightens awareness, focus, and oneness with the outside world whilst settling the chatter of ‘monkey mind’ and cost just $13 per person. Yoga mats are provided by the hotel.
Students are invited to use the hotel’s swimming pool, enjoy a freshly squeezed juice or coffee and even continue their gift of wellness with a relaxing massage afterwards in secluded Wellness Garden. Mille Fleurs is open for breakfast before the class and a delicious selection of light brunches are available for those feeling hungry after the class.
Private yoga lessons can be arranged for up to 3 people on The Perch, an intimate top floor deck used by those getting married at the hotel that is superb for panoramic sunrise and sunset view as well overlooking the gardens. A one hour session is just $45.
Drop us a line to confirm you are coming along by social media or email.info@hotelmockingbirdhill.com. To join the group session on Saturdays costs US$ 13.00 per person for the hour.
